About The Rowdy Boyz

The Rowdy Paddle is founded in Jacksonville, Florida by two kids(in their 30s) that peaked in high school. They both had lucrative and successful careers but decided to throw it all away by chasing around wiffle balls with big ping pong paddles instead. Ryan Roach quit his medical job to start The Rowdy Pickle, Jacksonville's premier indoor facility and the choice of training venue for the local pros. Ryan's level can be described as volatile, somewhere between 3.5 and 5.5. It really depends on how "loose" he is and how recent his last bender was. Zak Parks is one of those (wannabe) pros that trains at The Rowdy Pickle. He quit his cushy tech job to pursue pickleball full-time. Not a wise financial move for him as he only makes main draws every other tournament or so. His DUPR rating bounces around between 5.7 and 6.0 depending on how much his partners were able to carry him in the last tournament.

One thing these two dweebs have in common: they love pickleball. When they aren't on court training or coaching, they're brainstorming new ideas, prototyping new paddles and equipment, trying to make something special. These aren't some casual 3.0's with a marketing degree trying to cash in on the paddle craze; these are two guys obsessed with a dumbass wiffle ball sport, working in pickleball and paddle technology full-time.
